Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was a student at the Royal Academy of Music, London during the 1970s. She took a course in harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for 3 years. Lennox was able to survive on a student's stipend as well as working part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox was able to make a change in her career path when she was dissatisfied with her inexperience in contrast to the other Royal Academy students. Lennox played the flute in the 1976 group called Dragons Playground. She quit the group prior to their appearance on I.T.V's talents show New Faces. She was the main voice of The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to 1980. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they formed their duo Eurythmics. Following that Lennox started working on her solo first album Diva and it came out in 1992. It became a huge success both commercially and critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox compiled her top blues and soul from childhood. In addition in May 2019 Lennox has released Lepidoptera an album of four improvised piano tracks. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I'm Letting You go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of artwork at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on the 25th of December. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. The Tourists were a new-wave group that had some popularity in the latter part of 1970s. Then, she became a part of the band with fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her solo musical career in 1992, by releasing her debut album Diva. It included a number of well-known songs, including walking on Broken Glass and the song Why. Medusa is the album she recorded as her first studio album in 1995. The album features covers of songs like No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. Six studio albums of her own and one compilation album, are at her disposal.
